It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Twinkle Town Tabor City as we kick off the holiday season with the 33rd Annual Christmas Parade Through the Lights” and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
2023 was our biggest parade in Tabor City history and each year it has continued to grow with more entries, bands and floats!! Mark your calendar to attend this year’s parade. Come be a part of another historic Christmas parade!

Christmas Tree Lighting After the Parade
As soon as the parade ends, the Greater Tabor City Chamber of Commerce will host a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Town Gate located near the Tabor City Public Library. During the tree lighting ceremony, there will be entertainment and the Chamber will sell food, sweets, and beverages at very affordable prices.
A very special guest will be sitting on the porch of his Santa House to talk visit with the children of our community. So… bring your Christmas list to tell Santa exactly what you want for Christmas!!!

On the first Thursday every December, these events will take place on Thursday, December 4th beginning at 6:15 p.m.
Who
If you are interested in being in the parade, We invite all pageant royalty, businesses, churches and anyone who loves being in a parade to participate.
Homemade floats, atv’s, golf carts, and horses are welcome too!!

Parade Participation Entry Fee
Cost of Parade permit is $10 and will need to be purchased at the Tabor City Visitor Center before cut off day which is Tuesday, December 1st by 5:00 p.m.
Permits will not be issued after this date.
Cash is preferred (exact change)

Checks made out to: Town of Tabor City with the memo: For Christmas Parade.
Permits will not be issued without payment.
All monies collected support participating K-12 music education programs. Parade participants will be issued a Parade Permit from the Tabor City Visitor Center prior to parade. Your Parade Permit must be prominently displayed to allow entry in line-up. Parade permits will indicate which Zone/location you are assigned to for parade line up.
On Parade Day, participants will go directly to their indicated Zone which is reflected on their Parade Permit. Those without a permit will be declined.
