The Town of Tabor City proudly celebrates the tremendous success of this year’s 33rd Annual Christmas Parade Under the Lights, which welcomed a record number of participants and spectators and officially kicked off the holiday season in unforgettable fashion.

According to coverage in the Tabor-Loris Tribune, 280 parade units took part in this year’s event — the largest number in the parade’s history — accompanied by what appeared to be a record-setting crowd lining Main Street and surrounding areas . The parade featured marching bands from across the region, community groups, churches, businesses, and local organizations, all coming together to celebrate the spirit of the season.

Town officials and community leaders praised the coordination, enthusiasm, and teamwork that made the event such a success. Parade entry fees raised $860, which will be donated to support music education at Tabor City School, reinforcing the parade’s positive impact beyond the festivities themselves  .

The Christmas Parade Under the Lights was part of a broader holiday celebration that included ice skating, a tree lighting, music, and family-friendly activities throughout downtown Tabor City, creating a welcoming and festive atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.

The Town of Tabor City extends heartfelt thanks to all parade participants, volunteers, sponsors, town staff, and community partners who helped make this year’s celebration one for the record books.
